Gonzalez Y Gonzalez Best Mexican Restaurant in New York

If you want to go to the best Mexican Restaurant in New York City, then you have to take a trip over to Gonzalez Y Gonzalez, on Broadway between Houston and 1st Street. Located in Greenwich Village, right near NYU Gonzalez Y Gonzalez serves delightful Mexican cuisine to a hip urban crowd. When you are first seated at GYG you recieve a bowl of fresh chips with a choice of several diffrent types of salsa. Try the green salsa if you like it hot. Gonzalez Y Gonzalez is famous for serving The Worlds Strongest Margarita’s. So ordering one (or two) is a must. I am serious about how strong these frozen concoctions are GYG does not make any claim to the worlds strongest but I have had a lot of Margaritas, in a lot of places, and nothing even comes close. Now don’t get me wrong these
luscious libations taste great, so the kick to them is deceptive.
Aside from the Margaritas GYG is also famous for having the longest bar in NYC, so you can always find room for a drink. Sometimes they have a happy hour special of two drinks for one.
If you are hungry then have a seat at one of the tables and enjoy the finest in Mexican cuisine. My favorite is the Chorizo, and Black Bean Quesadilla, simply marvelous.
If all that were not enough GYG has a dance floor and live Salsa bands every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Nights, and even free Salsa lessons. So stop on by when you are in New York, you’ll love it.
Gonzalez Y Gonzalez is located at 625 Broadway in Manhattan between Broadway and First St.
