Bars or Club?

Ok well just over a week before i come to Miami and iv been an organised chap and started packing already.
Ok iv read a few tips for mondays so far but me and my mate have a dilemma?

We land at 19.30, so anticipate getting to the Hotel on Ocean Drive by about 22.00ish latest….  seeing as we are hard core we want to literally geta quick wash and freshen up and be out on the town for 22.30.  Thing is we have no idea whether to go to a club straight away or to a few bars?

any suggestions?

Piccolos Restaurant

Way back in the day before South Beach reinvented itself there was a cool Italian restaurant at the very end of South Beach called Piccolos. I remember eating there last in 1980. Sadly it closed. Anyone know the story of this eatery? And, when it actually closed? Several months ago I met a gentleman who works for the city of Miami Beach. He remembered Piccolos restaurant. He told me they are going to reopen in the near future but, are unsure of a location. Anyone have any information on this? Piccolos for those of you who don?t remember it had excellent reasonably priced Italian food and served one of the best pizzas and little hot buttery garlic knots. My mom remembered Piccolos from her childhood in the 1940?s and 1950?s. They also had a really nice garden for outdoor eating when the weather wasn?t so tropical.

Article - Chic Hotel Bars
If you’re looking for a change of scene, a bird’s-eye view of the city, or a Bond-worthy martini at 3pm, Tokyo’s design-savvy luxury hotels are just the ticket. Forget brass-studded Naugahyde chairs and watered-down highballs. These days, the hotel bar experience is more fun than merely funny. Internationally acclaimed designers have injected the stodgy hotel bar with real style, and skilled bartenders have revived the art of the properly mixed cocktail.

Review - Spice Cafe: Sumida-ku
Oshiage, in the northeast corner of Tokyo, isn’t exactly a food-lover’s destination, but we think it deserves a spot on the gourmet map simply because it’s the closest station to Spice Cafe. The chef here is a veteran of a hotel restaurant in Kerala, India, and he prepares authentic, first-class curries in this cozy little hideaway. Word is out, though, and most tables are reserved for both lunch and dinner every day….
