Best Steak in Miami

Where would you get the best steak in Miami. I always like to go to a great steak resturant whenever I visit a new city.

Dinner for 50th?

Two couples heading to South Beach for my girlfriend?s 50th birthday and we?d like somewhere fun.

We are all pretty hip and range in ages 44, 50, 50, 54.

Looking for a WOW restaurant.

Budget around $100 per person.

If it makes any difference, we are coming down from FLL via boat that will be parked at MBM and staying at the Hotel Victor.  In FLL we LOVE Cafe Martorano for the food and the vibe.

Thanks!

Fred Garvin was right about Jimmy John’s sandwich shop!

Last time we hung out, Fred Garvin kept hyping up Jimmy John?s sandwich shop.

I had never tried it but I honestly didn?t expect it to be much different than Subway or Quizno?s.

Well I?ve since tried it and it?s much better than Subway or Quizno?s. I?ve been back several times because I have within walking distance from me.

Their bread is much tastier than the other two places and their meats taste better.

Underage and Traveling to Miami for the Orange Bowl Game

Hello! My friend and I will be traveling to the miami area for the Orange Bowl game and we are both 20 years old, but have fake ids. We are from chicago and I am presuming the clubs in miami are about equally as hard to get into as the clubs downtown? I am just wondering how strict te clubs are, or if the police are bad with underage drinking in the area.  I know there was a topic on this, but i felt like it was mostly addressed to males. Also, what clubs do you think are the most fun and least strict on ids. If there is anyone whos gonna be in the area during this time who wants to show us around let me know! THANKS!!

3 wishes for Chicago’s food scene in 2010
No Olympics, but we still have plenty of ambition

Some months back, when it looked as though Chicago might land the 2016 Summer Olympic Games (sigh), I asked a handful of chefs what Chicago ought to do to get its dining scene ready for the international spotlight.

Sepia sails along nicely despite chef shakeup
When a highly regarded restaurant loses its chef, we tend to hold our breath. The better the restaurant, the deeper we inhale.

Review - Gyossantei: Shibuya
Gyossantei is a great place to sample the regional cooking of Miyazaki Prefecture, along with good sake from around the country. The dining space is comfortable and informal, and large windows on one side give it a spacious, open feel. Up front a quaint little counter displays the fresh produce of the day.

NYE South Beach (Fireworks and Ocean Dr)

I?ve been reading alot of these posts and need some more info on 8th and ocean dr.

I have a group of 8 coming in town (mid 20?s) and are wanting to walk the beach and drink. We don?t want to do the clubs cause they cost too much. Are there any cheap places around where the fireworks will be? Also can you drink on the beach during the firework show?

Also coming from Coral Gables, whats the traffic like and is a cab the best idea?
